During his general audience July 30, Pope Leo XIV urged Christians to foster honest communication and healing in a world suffering from violence, hatred and social media overload. The gathering also came during the July 28-Aug. 3 Jubilee of Youth, and he encouraged young people to open their hearts to God's healing love, so that they could become "even brighter beacons of hope in the world."
