With the theme “America, with the Power of the Spirit, Witnesses to Christ”, the Nov. 19-24 CAM6 emphasizes the Church’s call to mission, rooted in the Gospel.
Addressing the laity, Archbishop Nieves of San Juan valued that “you are the living stones of this surviving Church; to you we owe as much in catechesis, as in building temples as in sustaining the clergy and religious and in witnesses and models of holiness.
In an interview at the Cathedral of San Juan on November 18, 2024, Cardinal Porras painted a sobering picture of a Church under siege yet unwavering in its faith.
